How Quokka Watch Works
Finding a Rottnest stay when your dates show as full usually means checking the booking site over and over. Quokka Watch does that watching for you: tell it the trip you want, and it keeps an eye on Rottnest accommodation around the clock, letting you know the moment a matching stay appears.
Five steps from full to booked
From telling us what you want through to booking the stay yourself, here's exactly what happens.
- Step 1
Choose your Rottnest dates
Select the dates or date range you want to monitor.
- Step 2
Select the accommodation you want
Choose the stays, areas or accommodation options that suit your trip.
- Step 3
Quokka Watch keeps checking
We monitor Rottnest accommodation availability for matching stays.
- Step 4
Get alerted when something opens up
If matching availability appears, we notify you so you can act quickly.
- Step 5
Book directly with the accommodation provider
Quokka Watch does not make the booking for you. You book directly with the accommodation provider once availability appears.
Important
Quokka Watch is an independent monitoring and alert service. We are not affiliated with Rottnest Island Authority and we do not book accommodation on your behalf.
A few things worth knowing
The details that make the difference between seeing an alert and actually securing the stay.
What an alert looks like
Every alert includes the matching stay and your dates, with a direct link to the official booking page so you can check and book straight away. Depending on your plan, alerts arrive by email and SMS.
Why speed matters
Rottnest accommodation is in high demand, and newly released or cancelled stays can be taken quickly. An alert gives you the earliest possible chance to secure the stay yourself.
One-off payment, no subscription
Plans start at $15 as a single payment. Your watch runs in the background until it expires — no auto-renewals, and you can pause it any time from your dashboard.
Flexible options if your dates can move
Flexible and Power plans let you monitor a travel window instead of fixed dates, which widens the hunt and improves your chances of a match.
